Martin Sheen Joins Star-Studded Motor City Comic Con Fall 2026 Lineup

Motor City Comic Con is continuing to build an impressive guest list for its Fall 2026 convention, and its latest announcement brings a true Hollywood legend to Novi.

Martin Sheen will appear at Motor City Comic Con when Michigan’s largest and longest-running pop culture convention returns November 13-15, 2026, at the Vibe Credit Union Showplace, formerly known as the Suburban Collection Showplace.

With a career spanning more than six decades, Sheen has created some of the most memorable characters in film and television. Movie fans immediately recognize him as Captain Benjamin Willard from Francis Ford Coppola’s Apocalypse Now, while another generation knows him as Captain Oliver Queenan from Martin Scorsese’s Academy Award-winning The Departed.

For television audiences, however, Sheen may forever be President Josiah Bartlet.

His acclaimed performance on The West Wing became one of the defining roles of his career and helped make Bartlet one of television’s most recognizable fictional presidents. Sheen’s extensive résumé also includes Grace and Frankie, in which he portrayed Robert Hanson, and Anger Management, where he played Martin Goodson.

Sheen is currently scheduled to appear at Motor City Comic Con on Saturday, November 14, and Sunday, November 15. Fans will have several opportunities to meet the legendary actor, with autographs and selfies priced at $70 each, autograph/selfie combinations at $120, and professional photo opportunities at $90.

His addition makes an already diverse Fall 2026 lineup even stronger.

From One Tree Hill to Avatar and The Walking Dead

Fans of One Tree Hill will have an opportunity for a mini reunion as Chad Michael Murray and James Lafferty both head to Novi.

Murray, known for portraying Lucas Scott, has remained a favorite among television audiences while continuing his career through projects including Sullivan’s Crossing, A Cinderella Story, Freaky Friday and House of Wax. Lafferty, who portrayed Nathan Scott, has expanded his career beyond acting as a writer, director and producer, including co-creating Everyone Is Doing Great.

The two actors will appear Saturday and Sunday, with a special professional photo opportunity available featuring both stars.

Netflix’s live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender will also have a significant presence at the convention. Ian Ousley, who portrays Sokka, will appear alongside Elizabeth Yu, who plays Azula, and Maria Zhang, who portrays Suki.

All three are scheduled to appear throughout the entire weekend, with individual and group photo opportunities available for fans.

The Walking Dead universe will also be represented by Michael Cudlitz and Ross Marquand. Cudlitz became a fan favorite as Abraham Ford, while Marquand portrayed Aaron and has additionally become part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe through characters including Red Skull.

Cudlitz will also reunite with his Southland co-star Shawn Hatosy, another major addition to the 2026 lineup.

Hatosy is widely recognized for portraying Andrew “Pope” Cody throughout six seasons of TNT’s Animal Kingdom, while Jake Weary, who played Deran Cody on the series, will also be appearing. That gives fans opportunities for both Southland and Animal Kingdom reunion photo experiences during the weekend.

Sonic the Hedgehog Voice Cast Heads to Novi

Video game and animation fans will have plenty to look forward to as well.

Three performers closely associated with the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise are scheduled to attend: Mike Pollock, Colleen O’Shaughnessey and Jason Griffith.

Pollock is best known as the longtime voice of Dr. Eggman. O’Shaughnessey voices Miles “Tails” Prower across games, animation and the recent Sonic the Hedgehog film franchise, while Griffith is known for voicing both Sonic and Shadow in numerous Sonic video games.

All three are scheduled to appear Friday through Sunday, with individual, duo and trio photo opportunities available.

The voice acting lineup also includes the incredibly prolific Dee Bradley Baker, whose résumé covers virtually every corner of modern animation.

Baker’s characters include Perry the Platypus in Phineas and Ferb, Klaus in American Dad!, characters from SpongeBob SquarePants and numerous roles throughout the Avatar: The Last Airbender universe, video games, animated films and television.

Horror, Superheroes and Fan Favorites

Horror fans will also find plenty of familiar faces.

Jack Dylan Grazer and Jaeden Martell, stars of It and It Chapter Two, will both appear throughout the weekend and will offer a special duo professional photo opportunity.

Grazer also starred as Freddy Freeman in the Shazam! films and voiced Alberto in Pixar’s Luca, while Martell’s credits include Knives Out, Defending Jacob and Mr. Harrigan’s Phone.

Fans of Buffy the Vampire Slayer will have their own reunion to celebrate as James Marsters and Juliet Landau come together in Novi.

Marsters became one of the franchise’s most beloved characters as Spike, while Landau memorably portrayed Drusilla across Buffy and Angel. The actors will be available for individual appearances as well as a special duo photo opportunity.

Additional celebrity guests announced for the convention include veteran character actor William Fichtner, whose extensive credits include The Dark Knight, Armageddon, Black Hawk Down, Prison Break and Mom.

The convention will also welcome actor and impressionist Ross Marquand, voice actors, film performers and special effects talent from across the entertainment industry.

The Steiner Brothers Return to Michigan

Professional wrestling fans are also getting a major Michigan homecoming.

Rick Steiner and Scott Steiner, collectively known as The Steiner Brothers, will appear all three days.

Before becoming one of professional wrestling’s most dominant tag teams, both brothers had strong ties to Michigan through their amateur wrestling backgrounds at the University of Michigan.

The 11-time world tag team champions went on to compete throughout some of wrestling’s most important promotions during the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s.

Fans will have opportunities for autographs, selfies, individual professional photos and a special Steiner Brothers duo photo.

Gaming Stars Join the Convention

The gaming world will have another major presence through Ben Starr and Jennifer English.

Starr is known for voicing Clive Rosfield in Final Fantasy XVI and Verso in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, while English has gained enormous recognition for portraying Shadowheart in Baldur’s Gate III as well as roles in Elden Ring and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.

Both actors will appear throughout the weekend and will offer individual and duo photo opportunities.

Legendary Comic Creators Fill Artist Alley

Motor City Comic Con has never been only about television and movie celebrities. Comics remain at the heart of the convention, and the Fall 2026 creator lineup is filled with influential names.

Among the biggest is Jim Starlin, the legendary writer and artist responsible for creating or co-creating some of Marvel Comics’ most important cosmic characters, including Thanos, Gamora, Drax the Destroyer and Shang-Chi.

Fans will also have an opportunity to meet creators whose work spans Marvel, DC and independent publishing.

The announced comic guest lineup includes Rod Reis, Ariel Diaz, Jim Benton, Ian Glaubinger, Ramon Perez, Ryan Kincaid, Jim Calafiore, Justin Mason, Deegan Puchkors, Jimmy Palmiotti, Paul Pelletier, Reilly Brown, Amit Tishler, Scott Kolins, Tom Raney and Arvell Jones, with additional creators expected to be announced.

The range of talent reflects what has made Motor City Comic Con successful for decades: a celebration that stretches across comics, movies, television, animation, gaming, art and every corner of fandom.

More Than Celebrity Appearances

Motor City Comic Con began in 1989 and has grown into Michigan’s largest and longest-running pop culture convention, with events held each spring and fall.

Celebrity autographs and professional photos remain among its biggest attractions, but attendees can expect much more throughout the three-day weekend.

Panels and programming will give fans opportunities to hear directly from actors and creators, while Artist Alley will feature artists, illustrators and writers displaying and selling their work.

The convention floor will once again be packed with exhibitors and vendors offering everything from comic books and collectibles to toys, artwork, jewelry, clothing and memorabilia.

Cosplayers will also return in force, with cosplay contests among the traditional highlights of the weekend. Families can expect kid-friendly activities throughout the convention, with additional attractions, programming and guests still to be announced.

With Martin Sheen now joining a lineup already spanning One Tree Hill, The Walking Dead, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Sonic the Hedgehog, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, It, professional wrestling, Marvel, DC Comics and some of gaming’s biggest franchises, Motor City Comic Con Fall 2026 is shaping up to offer something for nearly every kind of fan.

And the guest list isn’t finished yet.

Motor City Comic Con says additional celebrity guests, comic creators, exhibitors, attractions and events will be announced in the coming weeks.
